If you’ve found your way here, I’m hoping it means you are curious about me and my writing. so here’s a bit of background.
I lived in five different cities, spanning two continents, before turning my back on crowds and commuting, and settling somewhere in the west of Scotland that official statistics describe as ‘Very Remote Rural’.
I have made up stories for as long as I can remember, and I have been writing for almost as long. I cut my creative writing teeth on fan fiction, back in the days of paper fanzines. I had a lot of fun, but eventually I grew tired of playing in other people’s sandpits and decided I should create a few sandpits of my own.
I have worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors, with roles ranging from number crunching and lecturing to mucking out cowsheds and toilet cleaning. I currently hold down a day job and write in my spare time.
